Obvious answer - The site may be having issues?
Myspace seems to have technical issues quite often. ( As viewing posts on here can attest ) ... You may want to try cleaning the temp files / cache / cookies from your computer and trying again. Sometimes that does help.
Use www.ccleaner.com as it tends to help sometimes. :) Otherwise, just keep trying like you already have been doing. When you finally DO get on, e-mail a complaint to myspace tech support or admin about the down time.

There's been a lot of questions about My Space on here lately and all the answers are the same. My Space has been down for over a couple of days now.
