Since so many persons are interested in the weather, I believe this would be a better category for my question.

I'm not a particulalry religious person but I would have thought that if God had wanted to attract our attention he would choose a more obvious means of doing so.

Weather patterens have explanations and extreme weather isn't something new - the ice age that ended about 11,000 years ago was a much greater problem than anything we're experiencing now.

I would have thought the Second Coming or an event of similar magnitude would be more likely to get our attention than weather anomoloies that can be readily explained.

Not at all. They are just normal weather pattern changes. If someone were trying to communicate why wouldn't they be more direct like a text message or something.
