I have some fish in a 10 gallon tank and they are very small. Usually fish swim around, mine just sit. What kind of fish do you have that are more active and make the tank look more lively?

One thing you can do is be sure to offer your fish plenty of hiding places. The more hiding places they have, the more comfortable they will be and the more likely they are to stay in the open and be active.

Danios and tetras tend to be quite active fish especially in a group of 5-6. If yours just don't do it for you try some of those.

That is a pretty small tank, not a whole lot of fish you can put in there to start with. What fish do you have in there now? I believe your best bet would be to go with neon tetras or a type of danios. I had some danios for a little bit and they were a lot of fun to watch. Kind of acted like children in a big playground.

Do not get more fish. What do you have already by the way? Listlessness is a sign that something is wrong. Test your water for ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates. Look for signs of internal infection (white poop is a sign). Something is wrong and adding more fish isn't going to help.
