suddenly one of my baby RES became super active. it's crawling, swimming, moving all the time. i'm happy, but there are some problems. it keeps chasing the other baby RES when they swim, bite legs or tail and drag the other sleeping RES, and doing things that might be harmful for others.

i'm afraid my other babies get hurt.

Aggression in turtles is usually a sign that the cage is too small. We generally recommend at least 10 gallons of swimming space per linear inch of turtle. If you have 3 turtles each 1.5" long, you should have about 45 gallons of water for them to swim in.

You also need to ensure that each is getting a fair shot at the food, has a good basking site, enough hiding spots, etc.

There is also a chance that the one is just a bully. It happens sometimes. If this is the case, sometimes more space helps, sometimes you just have to isolate it.

RES are territorial that is why you are having this problem. You may need a larger tank or you will have to separate them.
