The problem in this case seems to be that China is not one of the old colonizing nations that just take anything and everything in their stride so they just couldn't care less what India has to say and India doesn't seem to like it.

Because China has set a bad precedent by conducting this test.--Taking War beyond Earth -to the last destination where fragile Peace existed-Space.
The result -India and the rest of the Space "Oriented" nations like US,Russia and EU will surely try to secure their interests and we will be taken back to the days of "Star Wars" .What a nightmare?
Shame on China for Opening this Pandoras Box.

Im not sure on all the details but Im sure it has a lot to do with the fact that the US supports India and a star wars program would allow the US to protect India from China. Chinas attempt to keep the US out of Space could hinder our ability to protect them.

china and india are connected togeather and comprise of nearly half the worlds population, both are recently becoming economic superpowers, any country should feel threaten by anti-sattellite testing how would you feel, if someone destroyed billions of dollars of your commericial and goverment communications systems? do the chinse care, no the basic chinese people do not care, and considering the military might that china has over india, its goverment probably is not worrying much either.
