Troy Aikman seems to believe that the Bears loss makes a Grossman departure more likely. [link below] The fans would probably like new blood at QB, maybe even the old Griese we have standing on the sidelines.
Rex could start somewhere else, and with Chicago's luck, he could turn into the quarterback that we wanted. But fans don't want to gamble again. He makes grade-school errors.

I think as much as its been popular to down Rex when he didn't play well, he did get us to the Super Bowl where having a new quarterback every ten games or so for the last ten years didn't. It was his first full year, and such, like his rookie year, so it should be forgivable to choke in the Super Bowl. How many times did Payton choke in the play offs? I think Lovie understands that sometimes, you just have to give good talent a chance to develop into greatness.

yes rex isn't that bad wehn hes good but he is very inconsistent he actually out performed manning in the playoffs so that says something but when it came to the big game he froze he was dropping snaps like tony romo. he will be back and I think lovie sees something in him nobody else dose. Nobody seems to notice this is his first full season and they got to the superbowl the bears will want the exact same team next year if they can get it. What hurt last night was not harris and bensons injury but they will work on him hard in the off-season to improve his game

They'll keep him. This was his first full season as a starter, and though it was far from auspicious, many greats have had poor first seasons starting. Of course, I have my doubts about Grossman. The fact it was magnified so much was due to how well the team did...

Yes, he was 15-3 as a starter and was not the only reason they lost. I think the vaunted Defense has some questions to answer. When they let 2 average backs to have their way with them all night long.

I don't think they can unload Rex very easily to be honest...I'm thinking they will keep him but maybe hand the reins to Griese or find another option. I think they are stuck with Rex, but that doesnt mean they have to play him.
