To date there is no archeological evidence of King Solomon and ruins that have only been speculated as being the queen of Sheba. So I would have to say that the story is myth and apart of cultural folklore.

Actually there are a lot of interpretations of Queen Sheba. Christian, Muslim, African, etc... I am not arrogant enough to say which one is correct.

But the one you refer to is the Christian one.

This is out of Wiki

"The Queen of Sheba is mentioned as the "Queen of the South" in the Matthew 12:42 and Luke 11:31 in the New Testament, where Jesus indicates that she and the Ninevites will judge the generation of Jesus' contemporaries who rejected him.

Christian interpretations of the Queen of Sheba scriptures in the Hebrew Bible typically have emphasized both the historical and metaphorical values in the story. The account of the Queen of Sheba can be interpreted as Christian metaphor and analogy. The Queen's visit to Solomon has been compared to the metaphorical marriage of the Church to Christ where Solomon is the anointed one or messiah and Sheba represents a Gentile population submitting to the messiah."

I don't think anyone's certain if Solomon and Sheba actually married...but the Ethiopian texts and bibles do say that their son went back to meet Solomon and stayed with him a while...I personally don't think Sheba had an intent to marry Solomon, she obviously had her own kingdom and didnt need him...but they intrigued eachother.

The Bible never mentions Marriage between them..simply that she left with more than what she brought him, Let your mind stray from there and draw your own conclusions if you wish.
