There does not seem to be any plausible factor which preclues the death of the dreamer him/herself in the dream. Yes, I did have this experience few times and there was nothing after that. I woke up fresh and conducted my life very well and with noloss of conficence and with any kind of a fear chasing.
You get many types of dreams and several theories and the so-called scientific explanations have been offered. Unfortunately, the interpretative part of dream sequences seems to be very weak and there does not seem to be a standardized vocabulary to explain and expound it. The same dream can be interpreted in two or more different ways by two or more experts.
Imaginary objects are just shadows and interacting with them like you would do with the real can, at best, be a fantasy.
It may be a good exercise to train one's mind to get off from dream scenarios with zero effort. Just see them because they are coming while you are asleep (or in the rem position!) and you cannot help them out; make sure, you are not the creator of dreams--this exercise will help you in this also! And the exercise is: Sit on the ground, close your eyes, and get a huge agenda before you; allow the agenda to flash over your eye screen with a high speed--low speed to begin and you can see most of the objects and then high speed and that high that no object remains on the screen and all get mixed up into one large object and the screen then appears blank!
Results depend upon the person who practices and there could be a 30-40 percent success rate for good achievers!

It IS possible to dream that you're dead. Dying in the dream does not mean that you die in real life, it's just an extremely silly urban myth that probably came from watching too many horror movies!

If you do die in a dream it is possible that you could die in real life as your mind controls everything and if it says you are dead then it will shut down all of your body systems on you. I also have woken up before i died in my dreams but that does not mean that you are safe. I am not trying to scare you but just be careful and you will be safe

i dunno...if you can be DYING in a dream. i suppose it could be possible. it sounds a little farfetched to be dying in a dream then die for real. a little too magical to me.
but i did have a dream once where i was dead and was a ghost. however i was already dead when the dream started. so clearly you can be dead in a dream

No, these beliefs are not true. Many people have dreamed that they died or hit bottom in a fall and they have lived to tell the tale! You can explore the meaning of these kinds of images just as you would explore any others that might occur in your dreams.

I've died in my dreams tons of times, then I was a ghost. That's really fun because then I can walk through walls and steal people's underwear, car keys, and etc..... I don't think there is really any limit on ones dreams except the dreamer.

I have died in tons of my dreams. They are my favorite because it feels so good to wake up, not like those lousy dreams of great things only to wake up to disappointment
