i think Metal Gear Solid
it had a good plot better weapons
and everyone i know has played it ?

Fighting and Tactical/Stealth-Action are two totally different genres.
For Tactical/Stealth-Action, Metal Gear Solid is the best... Bar-none. It defined the modern genre. Other notable games with elements of tactical-action and stealth are Tomb Raider III, Syphon Filter and Tenchu.
The Fighting genre is much more closely contested, and boils down to personal preference. Several standout games are Tekken 2, Tekken 3, Rival Schools, Soul Edge, Street Fighter Zero/Alpha 3, Marvel vs. Capcom, and Darkstalkers 3.

I totally agree with you. I have played the "Metal Gear Solid I" and "Metal Gear Solid II" and I think it is the greatest action/fighting game on PS One that I have ever played. Not only because it has a good plot better weapons but also because it is not only a fighting game... there are some interesting characters who have a past, there is a good storyboard... It is nearly a film that you can play with many emotion like humour, tragedy, laughs and tears and cries. It is a wonderful and active game.

If you're talking fighting games then for me it has to be Tekken 2. Armour king had the best moves which they sadly changed for Tekken 3. My total favourite though was Z by the bitmap brothers. Way better than Command and Conquer.

I agree with you on Metal Gear Solid. The storyline was incredible, as was the soundtrack. The game was really innovative at the time, with the guards following your footprints, hiding in a box, etc.
I'll give Resident Evil a close second. The first one is probably the most difficult one in the series, and it was freaky as hell.

Tenchu 2, I still play it to this day.
It had a great storyline which I became completely immersed in, at the time the graphics were stunning. The stealth kills rocked my little socks off. It was just an amazing game. Much better than a certain sequel to it. *cough* Tenchu Dark Secrets *cough*

I think its Street Fighter 2 Alpha. That game saw plenty of action with me and my mates. I think when it comes to two player fighting games Street Fighter 2 wins it hands down!
