Each to there own as far as opinions on the Iraq war, its a very sore subject at the best of times, but i choose my words carefully because i do not want to upset anyone. But any man or woman who joins the army, navy, RAF or whatever force knows that when they do join up they could face going to war and could loose their lives. would you have ranted at churchhill, also every war has casualties, unfortunately war is real would you prefer that Saddam kill thousands and thousands of innocent people without anyone stepping in and stopping him, people on BB were slated for not stepping in and stopping Jade and Co bullying Shilpa, people seem to care more about that than stopping a maniac committing mass genocide what is wrong with this world please people wake up.

I also feel passionate about this as well. He sent our boys into Iraq badly equipped for such a mission and nothing appears to have improved on the score. He is an arrogant bullheaded man without a concience.

I would not waste my time taking him to court over the issue of war crimes. The money raised for a civil action would be better spent on looking after the walking wounded because they have been badly let down by this shower as well.

And you are right and wrong Frisky as we did not buy his argument for WMD but we were not united enough to stop the war in Iraq. Only people power can stop these sort of things from happening and we as a nation ARE happily led like lambs to the slaughter these days. Anything for an easy life eh! Shame on US ALL.

I do not believe that anyone can win the war in Iraq, and I personally wish that the troops would come home, especially as I have an 18 year old stepson fighting in Basra at the moment and I am worried sick about him. However, and this has come from my stepsons mouth aswell as mine, nobody forces people to become soldiers. The majority of soldiers want to go to war and fight for their country. They all know the risks involved when signing up as did the soldiers in the First and Second World war. They are doing a job, doing it well, and people will always die, they always do in wars, whether they deserve to or not. Can we also remember that there are soldiers being killed in Afghanistan aswell and the soldiers being killed arent just British, there are just as many American soldiers being killed.

Ducatigir, although I think that Blair should be brought before a court of law, and although I agree with what you say in your post, I must take exception to the statement you make on line six of your post, 'that soldiers want to fight for their country'. Yes they do, but our soldiers in Iraq are not fighting for their country, they are fighting an illegal war started by America.

a number of you in this web site have the concept starting to be a member of the military takes away a squaddies rights to proceed to exist. In a war for sure a soldier ought to do his duty and strive against to guard his united states of america. yet Iraq isn't a familiar war, it truly is a cou set up now to not guard this united states of america and the folk in it yet to take administration of something that does no longer belong to us (oil) and create a regime change to income us of a touch than the English. It change into bitterly hostile with assistance from the folk of this united states of america and the UN, it change into and is an unlawful war, even as a soldier provides his existence he expects the war to were idea out and balanced hostile to the percentages, he expects the right kit and equipment to do the pastime. Our squaddies have died even with the actuality that no longer having the right kit or needed approach. This war has created such issues as concentration camps, torture, killing of toddlers, adult adult males woman and toddlers, practically a million Iraqis lifeless and a much better million with intense loss injuries. even as Saddam change into in means those human beings were alive and existence went on all factions were held below administration. no another than for Saddam can administration the folk. So there is now civil war with tens of thousand extra deaths to come back and extra British and American squaddies yet to die. i'm sorry No soldier receives intense adequate salary to strive against for incompetence. he's not combating for the vast majority of the British human beings because we made it sparkling on the starting up that this war change into now to not ensue. Blair is a war criminal and responsible for all and multiple of those squaddies deaths, he shold be tried as such.

The question is would Mr Blair send his own son to fight in those terrible conditions those young lads have to endure. I think not. My sons friend is 20, out there and afraid. Why should we fight for that country.

Does any politician give a damn about a poor squaddie up to his neck in mud and bullets while they are banqueting and holidaying in luxury and safety. No i don't think mr blair think's about our lad's getting killed, he smiles to much, that should be an indicator.

He's pissed of the Catholic Church so he won't get absolution there either. I'm pleased you mentioned the Iraqis because they, are paying a far greater price for this folly. I fully support our troops and know they are doing a great job,in difficult circumstances. Pity the politicians son's and daughters arn't out there?
