My wife and I are trying to have a baby. She used an ovulator detector and we tried all last week. I noticed that over the past couple days she's been abnormally warm - she's the type who is ALWAYS cold and it's unusual for her to be warm when everyone else is freezing cold! She's never like this, not even when she has PMS. Could this be an early sign? I asked her and she wasn't sure.
(Her and I share this YaHoo account - she told me if I posted anything to mention this if I ever used this)

I know we still have a week or 2 before she can test. I was just curious and anxious to see what other experiences have been.

Well I should rephrase this. She's not just "warm" she feels like she's burning up. She throws of the covers, turns off the heat and turns on the fan! Me and the dog are getting cold...!

My core body temperature went from 97.4 (which it *always is*) to 98-99 when I was pregnant, almost as soon as I got pregnant. It was very weird. And yes sometimes I felt as if I were burning up.

So yes it could be a sign, but don't get your hopes too high JIC. If her core body temp has gone up be prepared that she may loose some weight as it may mean her metabolism is functioning at a higher level.

Good Luck!

Being warm is a sign of pregnancy but not the best one to look at early on. I know that my first signs were breast tenderness and having to pee a lot. My best suggestion is to take a pregnancy test. They have some that can detect pregnancy before the first missed period.

This could be an early sign, but you need to look at other signs as well. Does she complain about her breast being tender? Does she go to the bathroom more than usual? Is her appetite changing (nasuea)?

These things could also be early signs, but just one isn't enough to assume she's conclusively pregnant.

Try a BBT (Basal Body Thermometor) as well when oculation begins.

But, I really hope you guys get what you want. Wish ya well in TTC!!!

umm...i've never heard of the warmth symptom but it very easily can be a symptom. When a woman becomes pregnant, things happen in her body that never used to happen. And she acts in ways she never used to act.so she basically becomes sort of an alter ego...lol hope this helps!
