Paul Smith's London is new and smells lovely!! Trouble with aftershave and perfume though is that is always a personal thing! Some might like it and others loathe it! Try a few on and ask a girl to rate them!

I can tell you what I like the smell of on my man but did you know that every perfume/eau de toilette/aftershave smells different from person to person? This is due to the chemical balances of our skins.

:-)

I like the true (un-applied) notes of subtle smells. Like someone has already said- better "expensive" smelling than cheap!

What smells expensive? I like the woody and subtle musk notes for a man. Gives a certain Je ne c'est quoi... ;-)

So-

1. Karl Lagerfeld's Lagerfeld (powdery and slightly "sweet"), and-

2. Ralph Lauren's Polo (very sportsy and woody) both work their magic for me.

3. Then there is Emporio Armani's il (as in "IL") and just pure dead brilliantly blended) and I just discovered:

4. Contradiction by Calvin Klein.

The new Marc Jacobs scent is great or Armand Basi if you can find it. Nice thing is neither are too popular so you can retain a little individuality.

Baldisserini, my husband uses the men's cologne or whatever it is. Also, Cacherel pour Homme, that's nice too.

A tip, sweetheart: don't buy cheaper knockoffs, they smell like cheaper knockoffs. Smelling expensive is much better!
