whilst my child was in the playground at school she accidently fell into a teacher and immediatly appologised,the teachers response was to grab her by the scruff of the neck and tell her off. he then procceded to ask another pupil what my childs name was saying he was going to put her in after school detention.shes in the first year of highschool age 12 and i can honestly say a good pupil.advice and oppinions please on addressing this situation.

Talk directly to the teacher in question first. Get all the facts and his side of the story. If you don't like what you hear, go to his principal. But going to the principal first makes you look bad. It makes you look like you haven't been rational.

ask for a parent/teacher conference. If no satisfaction is found
speak to the principal. From there you can go to the school
board and lodge a complaint. No teacher should grab a student
unless others are in danger.
