well Im in Ireland so can only go by euro prices but thought Id give you some input and you can convert them to Sterling!!! A farrier is €60.00 for a new set of shoes - pearing/replacing shoes etc can vary from€10.00-€50.00.
Vets will vary depending on what you're getting done - a simple flu injection will set you back around €30.00 whereas a serious injury could stretch to €1000.00 or beyond. You're really better off ringing your local farrier and vet and asking them - they wont know you are so you have no reason to feel silly!
Just remember horses are REALLY expensive to keep and theres a lot of hidden costs like worming - rugs - entry fees - transport fees - lots of small things you may not include in your list.
xx

I live in Cumbria and have just bought a colt. The 2 stage vetting was about £80. A full five stage vetting is £120, which was with Frame and Swift in Penrith - they are really good. The farriers tend to be between £45 and £55 for a trim and a new set of shoes, and around £10 - £20 for a trim, without shoes.
Good Luck with your horse

I'm in the north east and it costs me £60 for full set new shoes, about £40 to put old shoes back on and £20 just for a trim. Am tempting fate here but haven't had to use the vet in the last 4 yrs so can't help you there. Insurance might be worth getting the vets fees on but shop around. NFU do a good policy though.

to shoe a horse it is about £60 depending on the farrier for normal shoes.

Horses need to be shod every 6 - 8 weeks.

Some horses don't need shoes or just have front shoes, this makes the price cheaper, however some horses are footsore and need to have all feet shod.

In North Wales it's around £60.00 for the farrier. Insurance is a must if you have a horse. Vets' bills can be horrendous.
