How can the Democrats honestly scream "obstructionists!" at the Republicans when this was the exact same thing they had been doing for the past 6 years?

Demorats don't like it when their resolution to undermine the troops is disrupted by real Americans. Your right, 6 years of saying how they support the troops, then as soon as things get tough, they go back on their vote authorizing force to remove Saddam then vote on a NON-BINDING (basically a meaningless cowardly resolution) to not give are military the chance to win. Almost treasonous if you ask me.

What crap. When did the Democrats ever obstruct anything? It's been a Republican free-for-all for 6 years. They've been doing whatever the hell they want with no consequences... Iraq war, illegal wire-tapping, congressional redistricting in Texas, lowering environmental safely standards are just the tip of the iceberg. Whatever Dubya wants, Dubya gets. So don't cry now that there are some checks and balances in place.

Maybe the US will turn back from being a dictatorship to being a democracy the way it was meant to be.

Proud, I still do not see WHAT Democrats "obstructed" in the last 6 years, nor how they could have, being Democrats in a Repubican-majority-held House of Representatives, a Republican-majority-held Senate, and of course a Republican President? The only thing I saw ANYONE doing to stop Republicans in Congress were people who arrested them for propositioning teenaged Senate pages and for taking various bribes and kickbacks.

The real tragedy here is that our troops are stuck in the middle. We should have sent many more troops to begin with. We inadequately planned what we would do after taking out Saddam Hussein and our troops are suffering for it.

We do need more troops sent, and more than 21,500. Those soldiers over there need relief and reinforcement.

I'm damned tired of the Democrats thinking that they speak for all Americans. They certainly do not speak for me. Threatening to make stronger legislation in retaliation is shameless.

Don't you get it? When the Dems shout "obstructionism" the media jumps all over it, making Republicans look bad. Those fools can sit there and run their mouths and not do anything meaningful. The media babysits them.

Actually they've been doing it for the last 14 years. Except while the Republicans want to add value to measures by amending them, the democrats used to stuff pork into legislation in exchange for them supporting it.

The Democratics are just disingenuous clowns... they did it but don't like it happening to them. They need to suck it up and deal with it.
