9/11 was orchestrated and carried out by al quaeda. conspiracy theorists will tell you another thing, but that's why they're called 'theorists'. no matter how much intel there was, preventing 9/11 would have involved shutting down the borders and grounding all planes for who knows how long. the country could not stay on lockdown forever. as soon as the lockdown was lifted, the exact same thing would have happened. maybe not that day, but it would have happened.

Do not go to loosechange.com. That nonsense has been debunked more times then not.

The attack was on America not by Americans.

It's a complicated issue, one that doesn't leave us entirely blameless I'm afraid. It appeared to be an unproked attack by extremists who have wanted to attack the US for a long time. We let our guard down and they got us. Now, the perpetrators are still on the loose, the nation is at war in an entirely unrelated circumstance that came about because of oil interests, and the terrorists have been emboldened because of the president's refusal to admit his mistakes and outright lies.

The attack was allowed to occur due to 8 years of the Clinton administration ignoring the problem. While Monica had her head in his lap, Clinton had his head in the sand regarding threats to U.S. security.

9/11 was the fault of those pigs who planned and executed the mass murder.

Period.
