2pack is a very good way of painting as the colour is applied in one layer, then the lacquer. it is hazzardous thou, the fumes are bad. use a proper mask and spray in a booth with extractor fans. clean the lacquer gun out immediately as it will go solid in the gun and ruin the spray gun. the pressures for spraying have to be correct too.

What you need to know is that 2 pack paint contains iso cyanate which is a form of cyanide - that is why you are supposed to wear a full face mask that has its own air supply and wear full overalls and gloves. You should be spraying this paint in a spray booth with full air extraction to outside. That said, when it is applied correctly the paint gives a high gloss and a very good finish.

you wont need to now any thing about it, the health and safety people have band it and once the paint suppliers have used up their stocks you wont be able to buy it any longer, the only paints that can be used are water based paints an all body shop will have to have a drying booth installed or go out of business, this new law is going to put a lot of very good body work people out of work as the cost of the drying booth is huge and Meany feel that its not worth the investment

From your question, you appear to have lied to get this spray-painting job.

2-pack paint contains very poisonous chemicals, which are lethal. It should only be used by people who have been trained to do so. If you get it wrong, you could kill someone.

For your sake, and for the sake of the people you will be working with, tell them the truth...
