Back in the days when I was poor and broke and had a big credit card balance, I started a policy of only using my credit cards 1 day per month.

This forced me to plan my purchases, and stopped impulse buying. Might work for you.

Yep I think we are all tarred with the same brush----to shop till you drop--- how to control it?? Storage can become a problem and this may be the solution anything that has not been used for a period of time should be given away or sold. Be ruthless here as you need to organise so that you can see the whole picture try to get rid of as much as you bring in very painful I know but will make life just so much easier. Challenge each desire do you really need it ? And more can you really afford it ? More still have you bought it before honestly ? Can you live without it ? Perhaps you need time out to think about it so don't buy there and then later perhaps if at all !!! reward yourself but not by more spending perhaps a coffee or a special health tea look at getting a hobby as you need to keep busy....Ok hope it helps just remember no retail therapy a late new year's resolution....health tea instead ???
