The keypad was on top of the vehicle, and you would type in numbers, like 4 left, or 8 right, something like that. I don't think there was a remote control, you used the keypad instead. What was that truck or car called and what company made it? My cousin had one.

OK, I have just figured out the name of the toy, but will leave this question up. First person to answer correctly will get 10 points! Hint: It's not actually a truck, but it is a vehicle. Also, from late 70's rather than from 80's.

ahhhhh i remember that toy it was called a Big Trax and was more tank looking then truck and you were right they were made between 1974 and 1981 till the company discontinued them for an undisclosed reason
