You can get them from most DIY & tool shops, your pipes will most likely be made of copper so make sure it can detect that metal.
If however you have plastic pipes you will have to lift a few boards. Start next to an outlet or radiator.

So far everyone has tried to answer your question I Guess!! However there is a device called a M-Scope that can be used conductivity on your water or heating pipes to locate the pipes you are looking for.That's assuming you can not look from under the floor in the rafters.

I did see something advertised, but i forget who makes it. It was mainly a stud finder, but it would also pick up metals in the wall or floor so you can trace electrical wires and pipes. I'm sure if you went to your local hardware store and ask them they can show you what I'm talkin about.
