Definitely a classroom assistant sounds like the best road for you to take. Same holidays, weekends off, hours etc. You could even start a teaching course at home of a night.....

Contact Learn direct as they do the 6 week courses for classroom assistants, I sure. You can then apply to local schools.

Good luck - nice to see mums doing it for them selves!!!

How about working at a school or play group? Part-time jobs are usually quite easy to find and you could always explore the job share opportunities there are around. Lots of doctor and dentist surgeries have part-time positions too. Why don't you look on the internet (if you are in the UK www.reed.co.uk is a good one and lets you search for part-time positions). Good luck.

Have you thought about returning to school to better yourself? I am currently an online student with University of Phoenix and I LOVE it! I am able to continue homeschooling my children, go to school myself and concentrate on my future career. I am thinking of counseling... then, I can do that from my home. In the mean time for the extra money, I am designer for a home party corporation. Talk about freedom... this is it!
