Payton Manning won MVP with just 1 TD pass..he also had 1 interception, and 1 sack..
- nothing impressive..-
his pass percentage was just 25 of 38 ...which for him is normal percentage..as regular season.

the Colts *Defense* scored over half (17) of the total (29) points .. Peyton wasnt even on the field at those times.

His team had nearly 80 chances ( 80- plays) and yet they only defeated the opponent by 12 points.. ' which is NOT a super lose..some Bowl games are decided by 20 + point differences..

I think someone just felt 'sorry" for Peyton having been "close" but never winning until today.
his stats are NOT impressive in this game.

Rookie : Addai' set a new superbowl record .. he should be CO-MVP

I think Manning is being
overated" .. on this victory..only!

Otherwise he is a great QB and Im happy i won money on this game..but lets be honest..his performance was not "super impressive" it was a "normal day for him".. YET outstanding for others

His daddy probably paid off the voting committee so now as MVP he can make more commercials.

Manning didn't need to be great. He managed it very well. However, he was not MVP. My picks would've been:

1) Addai & Rhodes (CO-MVP)
2) Colts Offensive Line (CO-MVPs)
3) Rex Grossman (lol)
4) Kelvin Hayden (clutch pick, although it was a horrible throw)
5) Peyton Manning (He did manage the game well...)

I would've given it to Rhodes and Addai though. It was good, but not great from Peyton.

Manning won the MVP because of all the attention that was brought to him preceding the SB. Otherwise, the MVP should have gone to Addai, Rhodes, or Bob Sanders.

One thing you forget is Manning calls the plays, he is the one that decided to cram it down the bears throat. He didn't have a great game but I don't believe anyone on the Colts had a MVP type game. He was also the sentimental favorite so as long as he didn't toss 4 int's the award was his.

Personally, I thought Rex Grossman deserved the MVP for last night's game. Had Chicago played a semi-decent Quarterback, Indianoplis probably wouldn't have won the game. Grossman gets the MVP for Indianopolis in my opinion.

I am from Indiana and a Colt fan (and not one who just jumped on the band wagon) and I have to agree with you 100%.....Manning is a good QB but he was NOT the MVP in my eyes last night.

The defensive team was the stars of last night!

Why he got it was all the hype on him....not because of performance last night......I do agree he is a impressive QB but not impressive last night!

Payton, if your reading this, why don't you do the right thing and at least publicly admit that your DBs and RBs where more valuable in this Super Bowl than yourself...Have some dignified integrity man!

i agree 100% i think that Devin Hester should of won MVP espically because of the fact that he is a rookie in the pro bowl
