Yep that happened to me a wee while ago. I was so sure I'd get the job, interview went really really well, the people interviewing me said I 'ticked all te boxes' and had all the relevant experience, etc etc. Then 3 days later I got a rejection letter!! Was gutted.
But, having spoken to other people about this - I like to thing this anyway, makes me feel better!! - maybe the company youre applying for the job with actually has an internal candidate that they were going to give the job to anyway, but due to employment laws and things like that they have to be seen to be advertising and interviewing other candidates.
That's a much better way of seeing things!!!

They probably feel that the other person (who got the job) was slightly more suited for the position. A friend of mine experienced slightly the opposite of what happened to you. She went for an interview and was then invited for a second interview. However she didn't get the job. When she rang up for some feedback they later emailed her back pretty much criticing every aspect of her first interview. Why did they bother inviting her back for a second interview then? Now that is strange!

Being negative does not get you a job.
You got to be CONFIDENT!!!
And how long is the CV? CV's more than 2 pages get dumped. Better to use a Resume (the short form of the CV) - 1 page is preferable, definitely not more than 2 pages

Yes, this is tough isn't it. Often they have made up their minds before they interview you. I used to have this happen to me a lot and I wrote a nice letter to one employer who had turned me down and asked him why. He replied asking me for interview again and I was awarded the job. Oddly enough I had had a better offer by then and didn't take it

It just means that someone else's CV also did the same. Look on the bright side: you came second instead of last & you'll get your chance soon.
