do u decide by looks, style, willing to show body, or by the number of fans or what. what qualities does a good actor have.

Talent and charisma. Not too many actors/actresses have both simultaneously. Having looks and showing off the body is a blessing, but the media society places WAY too much emphasis on such shallow ideals. Their more than willing to overlook actors/actresses who can really act and light up the screen, in favor of a mediocre actor/actress who has a fit and attractive-looking body. If this is our future, then I'm glad I've given up watching most shows on TV and boycotting going to certain movies that focuses on how "pretty" the actors and actresses look.

a good actor is one who can step in and out of a character with no problem. The one who makes you see into someone elses life. Someone that makes you understand what the character is feeling. I think its vitally important to have fans but that is not at all what determines a good actor. Actors like Johnny Depp are amazing people who can play a pirate and willy wonka and edward scissorhands. People like that are amazing actors.

I consider someone a good actor if they can make me believe they Are the role they are playing. In other words I forget who they are and can only see the character.

When I believe in his 'character' in a play or movie instead of seeing him as 'the actor'.

He/She will have to be versatile. One whom can be cast in any almost any role. Like Johnny Depp or Robert Downy Jr. Also one who chooses the right roles. Sure, they're allowed one or two dumb movies, but the ratio of good movies to bad has to be pretty significant.
