Its not my cup of tea - means that you dont like something, its like saying "Well, its OK, but its really not for me, its not exactly my taste."
Now for my other explaination
Its not my cup of tea, I dont take sugar, this is your cup, now give me back mine, I hope you dont have girl germs.

"It's not my cup of tea", means you wouldn't do that thing, say that thing, talk that way, deliberately hurt someone that way, be that way, etc. It relates to that fact that you would not be comfortable being the same way or acting the same way another person is.

You say that when something isn't what you'd choose or do yourself, a polite way of saying you don't really like something.
E.g. - someone shows you their new pink wallpaper and asks if you like it. You think it's vile but to be polite you'd say it wasn't really your cup of tea.
