sad why?

What is sad about trying to give a little advice to someone who is obviously in need of some? I mean they wouldn't be asking if they didn't seek some form of advice, would they! Also if nobody bothered to offer any then the people asking would obviously be at a loss because maybe they don't feel that they can talk to anybody else about whatever is troubling them.

I think it would be sadder if we were all more insular and had to mull over dilemmas alone. But I also agree that sometimes it is sad that some have no-one of their own that they can trust to help, often though I think people are just curious as to the way others would deal with certain situations

No it isn't sad. People ask questions on this site to get an unbiased opinion - they also get a lot more opinions than they would by asking family and friends. There are questions you wouldn't dare ask someone you know, so you ask a bunch of anonymous strangers. I think it's a great idea and hope it continues.

It is. what is even more so is the fact of " the condition of society". the human race is in a very sad state of affairs. plus it is not getting any better. & this " the religious " are use-ing the problems of the times against it's self as a race. as a whole the human race is an organism. fully live, fully functional. [not for long though] there is only one thing that is the problem & that i can say to decribe it in one word" GREED"

No, the sadness is in the person with the dilemma being unable to ask this of someone, in vivo, and having to resort to an online oracle.

we all have our own unique perspective on the world, at work i think of things other people would never dream of and vice versa.

it helps to have a variety of opinions to consider all the answers before choosing the best route to take [kinda like yahoo answers] and as it is on the Internet no need to get embarrassed about aasking for help.
