How about a drop of milk dripping, hitting a surface and splashing up into a ring/crown of droplets, and then settling down to a puddle of ringlets and then just a puddle. If this is done the old fashioned way that a movieola was done, you attach the sheets to a continuous spool like a Rolodex and spin it so as to make your design appear to never end, or in the drip case, look like a constant "leaky" faucet.

A plant growing from a seed to a huge bush with flowers, then if you want to make it comical you could have a dog peeing up it or someone accidently running it over with a lawn-mower or something like that.

Plants don't show much movement without wind, although it might be really cool to do a palm tree in a hurricane, a maple in a tornado, something that really moves around the page!

If you are thinking of doing plants then you should try a Venus Fly Trap. You could show it catching and eating a fly, which could be interesting.
