Hello, anyone is in Sapporo, Japan, now? I'm going to Sapporo on Thursday, but i have no idea how many layers of clothe should i wear??

Hi I lived 2 years in Sapporo/Hokkaido and heading back to live in March and keep in contact with friends there etc.
Its freezing. When I was in Kitami (north eastern hokkaido) my eyelashes were freezing shut, it was -20degrees (Celsius).
It will be snowing in the city, you need lots of layers, maybe even some thermal underclothing. The snow festival is on so that will be AWESOME!!! If you don't go see it you are CRAZY! so go see it, okay!
Take tissues. You will have a runny nose. Take warm clothes (include a scarf and gloves and warm waterproof jacket.

Sapporo is in the midst of winter right now.I am not there but having a sister who lived in Japan during winter,you would do best with just a layer of thermal underneath a sweater and a jacket.

It's been right around 32 F (0 C) lately ... a pretty mild winter this year.
You'll be just in time for the Snow Festival (Yuki Matsuri) ... it begins on Thursday and runs for a few days.

If it's in the north, you'll likely be facing a nasty winter. The southern islands aren't so bad, it's the northern ones that get the cold temps and snow.
If you're close to Nishonomiya, check out their ice festival. I don't know the dates, but they show off some magnificent ice carvings every winter.

I am in Tokyo and although this is a mild winter in Japan, I can tell you... Sapporo will be cold. VERY COLD!! Rug up!

i am in tokyo, i just say that hokkaido is really very cold.
