Our films are totally different from that of HOLLYWOOD.(only a few are copies).Leave action movies aside , romantic,emotional,tear jerkers type of movies are far away from hollywood. should we not search for another name .

I have a Friend from India, and he boasts that "Bali wood" releases more full length feature films than Hollywood every year. Not for nothing, the Bali wood movies are well made and well choreographed.
The few Bali wood movies I experienced were romantic, with moving story lines, alot of singing and dancing with sexy actors and actresses. Can't remember the name of the flick, but an Indian village challenged the British in a game of cricket.
Of course the sexy Indian guy was desired by the English Babe with all the manners and tea, and yet the hot village girl, was just hot.
Of course the village beat the English. Yet it was a moving story with some sexy people.
Some of the Bali wood directors tackle the issues of segregation between the classes, and there ain't no singing.
There are even some macho men. Don't know thier names yet they are following in the footsteps of Stallone, Savales and Chow Yun Fat.
Bali wood fits as the name for the Indian,Pakistan and Bangladesh movie industry. There is only one Hollywood.

Well i don't know why hollywood is called hollywood, but i can tell you that here in the industry people are kicked and controlled by people with power (don't ask me what type... its altogather a question by itself) like ball and most people working here have wood in their head instead of a brain (count out a few good actors and actresses who were and are in industry). too many absurd things have been done and said by the movie industry people

actually this name is given by the media way back to compare our film industry with hollywood. Though most of the top actors and directors don't like this name but they use this name too introduce themselves. I personally don't have any problem with this name.

I think all Bollywood movies are really great! I definitely wouldn't be able to name 10 I hated!

Javed Akhtar has suggested the correct name for this 2 yrs before in a program arranged by Doordarshan but i forget it now .

according to me ,the other name for bollywood should be "fake and dirty world".
I have this opinion becoz we know that bollywood shows all those things which is impossible in the real life of people and i consider it dirty becoz for getting films the actresses they do sexual compromises with big directors and producers or even politicians and business men.it is fake becoz every thing that we see is a "mirage in desert" that is it shows something and the reality is totally different what it acctually appeared.
In reality the inner world of bollywood is so difficult and full of fear that those people who plan to be actresses and actors would like to live the life of a common man.
It is said that"aaj agar kisi ke pass paisa aur sauhraat hai toh uske pass sukh aur chain nahi,aur aaj jiske pass paisa thoda sa hai toh kahin na kahin uske pass sukh aur chain toh hoga hi".
if anybody wants to know the inner world of any actor or actress then he should live with him or her for 2 to 3 days and i garuntee that seeing his life he or she who plans to be one of them would definetly like to live the present life.and for more ideas a person should see "page 3" by "Mr .Madhur Bhandarkar" one time in life or films like that kind .
so i pray to every body that they should not treat "bollywood" as bunch of flowers,but treat them as bunch of flowers with hons.

i think it is a good name of our film industry our industry is much better then Pakistan,s film industry.
