How do you feel about the Mayan Doomsday prophecy of 2012?

Question

Katun 13, ultimate destruction, is on the horizon in only 5 more years. On December 21, 2012 the Earth, Sun, and the milky way's black hole will become perfectly aligned with our galaxy.

Some astrologists say Earth will rotate backwards and thus whirl us into another dimension.

Others say we'll simply just die by the sun's next stage of violent surges.

Or maybe Jesus is comming back for us. lol

Honestly! What do they teach you kids in school these days?

First, the Earth and Sun are already part of the Milky Way, which IS our galaxy! Since the Earth is revolving around the Sun, and our Solar System is part of the spiral arm that revolves around the center of the Milky Way ALREADY your questions betrays a shocking lack of basic astronomical knowledge. The black hole at the center of our galaxy is roughly 50,000 light years away! If it were possible for it to have a direct effect on us EVER, it would have a direct effect on us NOW. Perfect alignment? In what terms? The three bodies probably "align" several times a year. So what?
Sigh! The Earth CANNOT rotate backwards. At least not until it stops rotating completely. Even then, something would have to happen to add energy to the Earth to get it rotating in the opposite direction (like a major collision) which would probably just destroy the Earth anyway.
I suppose the sun could go into a violent phase of activity the likes of which have never been seen or suspected and could make the Earth uninhabitable. What makes 2012 more likely for this to happen than 3012? Or 1912? Or 2112? NOTHING!
This Mayan Calandar stone thing is all hooey! Do you know why the Mayan Calendar stops at 2012? I'll tell you: The dude who was carving the damned thing finally got tired and laid down his hammer and chisel! Or he just dropped dead! Or he ran out of space. And that's all, it doesn't mean anything!

Mayan prophecy only says that uncommon sun spot activity will cause the earth to change position on it's own axis causing earthquakes floods tsunamis and other "natural" disasters that will end the world "AS WE KNOW IT" not end the planet. There will be survivors who's job will be to rebuild and continue civilization. According to the Maya and 12 other tribes ...this has happened 4 times before and it is just a natural cycle of this planet. We are going in to the 5th "world" since records (spoken) have been kept.

In this state of higher consciousness, we will recognize that all matter, plant, animal, mineral are bound as one. This realization will mark the end of wars for a time. People will be able to connect to the essence of god (vibrating energy) like only the most enlightened can. We will have exited the forth dimension and entered the fifth dimension.

The date marks a goal to be reached. Evil forces will make every effort to keep humanity from reaching the date. These evil forces are those entrenched in the third dimension, in the Material world. They have no desire to leave this age and wish to continue exploiting and endangering all life for material gain.

Wars just prior to this date could be most devastating, with a loss of as much as 2/3 of our population anticipated. The resulting man made environmental damage could make life inhospitable for those who survive.

The Earth and Cosmos will continue to change despite what you humans do here. Disaster or The End could come at any time, from anywhere, ie: bigass asteroid, black holes, etc.. The real worry should be...'when are you humans actually going to blow yourselves up?" I think too many people have accepted the concept that life is about over and just don't give a #$% anymore. Instead of focusing on inevitable destruction, perhaps focusing on continuous improvement of your world, and yourself, should be the mindset.

There is a big change coming for sure. Not what people think though. Earth is ascending to the next dimension. Those who are enlightened to this will go along. Those who are not will be left behind and to their own devices. The bottom line is , it pays to be a lightbearer.

All i know honey, is that everything comes to an end...!we live we die..so will our planet! i doubt that there's a way to predict when it will happen.if u remember, the used to say the same thing about the year 2000..of course nothing happened! so i dont believe in profecies and stuff..!but that's my very personal opinion!i suggest u did a research if still u believe in it... i would!

If true - what can you do about it? Nothing. So live your life to the fullest, exploring all the richness you can with your talents, your family, your friends.

But that's what you should be doing anyway - so if the "prophecy" turns out to be false - which is where I would place my bet - you'll still be living a full and rich life.

when i was watching lost civilisations, i saw for the 1st time that mayan doomsday and i practically freaked!!
but now that i think about it, i say the day this world will end, it's gonna end because of the devastation caused by humans. not cuz the mayans said so anyways!!
