What two roles would profit have played in attracting Richard Branson to the UK mobile phone market??

Its one of several questions i have to right an essay about. And i agree i would have thought that there was only one role as well.

Richard Branson is a multi BILLIONAIRE he does not work for profit any more. There are actually 3 reasons

1)Expand the Virgin brand into a hi tech area
2)For the challenge - Richard likes to succeed in challenging business areas that are dominated by very few major companies - e.g. Atlantic flights, Railways, Colas etc.
3)To establish a foothold in an expanding business area - you will note that Virgin mobile has now taken over NTL/Telewest cable franchise - soon to be renamed Virgin.

With these kind of questions you have to think a little more deeply. Do some more research on the above and you will get a very interesting answer to your exam question.

I am not completely sure I understand your question...but I think it was 1 role....the opportunity to make money.
