I would say out of those 3 that Didsbury is best.
You should try Stalybridge though, it's great!!! :D

I agree with Jo J -Bury is a better area,I live just down the road from there in the Heaton Park area and frequently visit both Bury & Manchester,the 3 places you mentioned aren't very nice areas (esp. Worsley),I wouldn't recommend any of them though.

The best part of Manchester is the M602 out of there!

the poshest is didsbury very nice but full of students easy access to manchester
worsley is nice but not as built up
denton is the worst of the3 as things are spread out but on the moterway network in easy reach of various town like hyde stockport and easy reach of manchester

Does it have to be Manchester? I grew up in Bury, Greater Manchester and there is loads to do and lots of smaller safer and quieter villages around that area. Plus you can be in the centre of Manchester in 10 minutes
