a waste of money?

We get a three pack of FIrst Response test from Walmart for about $13. I do not believe it is a waste of money. First Response is the only brand we trust. With my last pregnancy, I got a true positive four days before my period was due.

I really do think that HPTs are a matter of personal preference. While I trust and only use First Response tests, someone else may tout their favored brand as the most trustworthy. If given a choice between First Response and any other brand, I would choose First Response always... even if it might cost a little more.

(I've posted a link below that will take you to a page on the First Response site where you can sign up to have a coupon brochure sent to you.)

Good luck.

They are 99.99% accurate but the thing that you have to worry about is if your body is producing enough of the pregnancy hormone. I know that when I was pregnant with my third I could not get a home pregnancy to give me a positive I had to go and get a blood test. But every woman is different So I want to wish you the best of luck.

There are defective abode assessments no remember what sort you purchase some would be defective. the main acurate ones are EPT or the dearer ones. you rather would be unable to do some thing incorrect with a house attempt till ur shaking it or moving it lots. you will only might desire to get yet another attempt and attempt lower back. only be sure you place it on a flat even floor and don't flow it till after it is carried out reading. All assessments provide invalid outcomes after 10 minutes so in case you nonetheless are not seeing a result interior of seven minutes you're able to be ultimate to attend a pair extra weeks and purchase a extra high priced one. the form with the droppers i've got chanced on are the simplest and maximum acurate considering which you would be unable to hit it on something or omit the stick. you additionally can urinate in a small cup or different small disposable merchandise and carry the stick form assessments in it for 30 seconds this could make it a sprint extra precise. solid success on the outcomes you decide on for.

if your using the one that can give you a result 4 days before your period is due then around 52% of women get an accurate positive result... it may still be too early to tell so its besty to use them from the day your period is due onwards then its about 98% accurate, if you get a positive however you are pregnant, you cant get a false positive (unless you have had a miscarriage or abortion within 9 weeks - in which case it would be better to get a blood test from the gp)

good luck

They should be very reliable because when you are pregnant, your body produces a hormone called Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin (HCG). This hormone is being produced in the first 4 months of your pregnancy.

The basis of pregnancy tests is on the presence of HCG. Therefore, such tests are usually reliable.

Pregnancy tests that say they can detect pregnancy before your missed period are not totally accurate. They are about 56% accurate 4 days before, and then get gradually more accurate up until the day of your missed period when they are 99% accurate. So what that means is that only half of women who are pregnant who use them 4 days early will get a positive result.
I used one on what I thought was the first day of my missed period and I got a negative result. I didn't get a positive result until 2 days later.
It's probably best to save your money and save yourself stress and wait until you are a day or so late before you start testing.

THE FIRST TEST IS EFFECTIVE BUT IT IS ALWAYS BEST TO GET A SECOND. BECAUSE THE FIRST TEST COULD BE WRONG BECAUSE IT WAS TOO SOON. OR ANOTHER THING THE TEST YOU USED COULD OF BEEN OUTDATED OR NOT A GOOD BRAND. SO TRY AGAIN AND SEE THE RESULT

I took one last week... double checked. it was negative and i went to my doc. Im deffinately not pregnant. its 99.9% true... but its always best to get a seccond opinion. Another thing is u should take it first thing as u wake in the morning, at this time your urine is more concentrated with makes the test more effective and more likely to tell the truth! good luck!

If it says your pregnant - Your pregnant. But if you test to early they can sometimes not show positive straight away. I tested myself at 4 weeks and it came up negative. But I just new I was. I then tried again the next week and it was positive!!
