Does our taxes we pay in make our government rich?

Like the money that pays for the president and congress to fly around in plane from party to party. Their cars, money, personal bought crap all of their offices? What is going with the money? Why does a congress person have to have 7 different offices, everyone have to waer the expensive suits, you can do the same job in a pair of jeans. One more thing why are we rubuilding in other countries and helping them when the governement can't fix Lousiana, Katrina etc, and I know it's helpful to other countries but look around, americans are losing their jobs, their kids can't afford to go to college, we can't get good healthcare, and we have a hell of a a lot of homeless people of our own? Someone please explain where our money is going cause it doesn't make sense to me?

You are talking about two different problems, but they are related.

#1The government is broke, it is more broke than any government or any entity ever in the history of the world, most of the money wasted in the past 6 years, but most of that waste given away as "tax breaks" to the few thousand people, stealing really absurd amounts of money.

#2 You don't buy the Government with your taxes, you buy the Government with Bribery. Most of those folks who fought to get their taxes cut by half also fought to double the amount of open bribery allowed. Of course eliminated all that bribery by giving it a different name.

#3 All that bribery had to be paid for somehow, and being Capitalists, they insisted on a profit as well, that is where all that other stuff about no health care , college, house etc comes in.

If your job pays enough that you have money to waste putting your kids through college, then obviously you are paid too much, and that money can be better made into capitalist profits. After all if you weren't so lazy you would be in charge of Exxon.

your questions and points of view are right on the money,unfortunately the president,the senators,and the congresspeople,has the last say on how they can spend your hardearned money,and too bad those people are acting like 3 blind mice with regards to real issues that theyre suppose to tackle at there own back yard,they spend so much of our money on there luxuries just to make them look good on T.V.and yet they allowed some greedy countries to export more cheap stuff into our markets that wipes out jobs in our manufacturing sectors, and shamelessly those 3 blind mice who decides the future of this country just ignore the fact that we are loosing millions of jobs to overseas competitors,and still spend a lot of our money overseas to help the people from the other country
