I think a person should delete as much stress as they can. What they can't get rid of they need to figure out a way to make it better. Do things you enjoy when you can. Do not spend your life in a relationship that doesn't satisfy you. Do not take people or things for granted as that may not always be there. Volunteer your time to a non-profit organization just once. I help at the humane society and it is a good feeling to have the animals so glad to get attention that they have not had.

It's no secret...Happiness is a choice. The following inspirations and ponderings may help:
We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough and we'll be more content when they are. After that, we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, when we are able to go on a nice vacation or when we retire. The truth is there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when? Your life will always be filled with challenges.
It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway. Happiness is the way. So, treasure every moment that you have and treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time with and remember that time waits for no one.
So, stop waiting ..
Until your car or home is paid off.
Until you get a new car or home.
Until your kids leave the house.
Until you go back to school.
Until you finish school.
Until you lose 10 lbs.
Until you gain 10 lbs.
Until you get married.
Until you get a divorce.
Until you have kids.
Until you retire.
Until summer..
Until spring.
Until winter.
Until fall.
Until you die.
It's your choice, no one is stopping you. It's no one's fault if you're not happy, not in a good mood, or have a bad attitude. Hear or read something that ticks you off? Check yourself - could it possibly be their is some truth to it? Are there changes you can make that change your reaction?
Do the work it takes to be happy. I can promise you it's worth it. Free yourself from your blues, doubts and fears. Quit waiting on others to make you feel good. Stop living in denial. Open yourself up to the truth that is you and is your life and don't be afraid to share that truth!
Things that will help you find happiness with yourself are: attend church, pray, be honest in all your dealing with other - and especially with yourself, pick up the phone and call your friends, treat others the way you want to be treated - it's the Golden Rule & it works. Be proactive.
There is no better time than right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey, not a destination. So work like you don't need money, love like you've never been hurt, and, dance like no one's watching.

The secret to a continued happy life is when you are able to do good to others & yourself. Feeling needed by others makes us fulfilled, that our life is never useless. We do good to others because it also makes us happy, contented and fulfilled. Happiness could never be bought by money, could never depend on others, but it is one thing that a lot of people miss nowadays. Happiness comes from within, from the simple things that we do everyday.

you can't be happy all the time, what would be the point? you can only hope the happy times outweigh the bad, a loving family is the closest you'll get but that has hard times too x

Make yourself a blessing unto others. When you stop concentrating on your own happiness, and try to just make one other person happy a day, you'll find your own happiness follows and comes back to you tenfold. It's amazing how fast it happens.
