My 12 year old daughter just had her 4th period, couldn't she get pregnant if she had unsafe sex?

yes. Starting your period- is because your body has ovulated. If you ovulate - you can get pregnant.

Surely you know this answer yourself if you are her mother who is asking.
If you are the girl asking then YES YES YES you can get pregnant,go and speak to someone if you cannot speak to your parent,maybe a family planning center or your doctor.
Please do not even think about having sex at your age,you are still a child and if you are having sex then the person you are with can get into an awful lot of trouble too.

Once a female begins to menstruate, then she can get pregnant any time she has sexual intercourse, provided there is a viable egg (ovulation) and viable sperm.
There is no such thing as "safe" sex. There are safer sex practices, but not safe sex.
And at only 12 years of age, she damn well better NOT be having sex!

Yes she can. Having her period is a sign that she is ovulating. usually 2 weeks or so after her last period. now is a great time to discuss sex and protection. hopefully she will wait. good luck

Yep once you start your period, you can get pregnant. And some girls get their period at 9-10.

yes anyone who starts her period has the chances of getting pregnant .so its best to let her know about these things and most of all about prevention

She could have gotten pregnant before that.. It is not uncommon for girls to start ovulating before they start having periods.

yes she can get pregnant! Best to go and get her on the pill if she is getting sexually active to prevent pregnancy!
