Let me explain before I get sectioned as a nutter 'laughs'.
I was diagnosed with Polycistic Ovarian Syndrome at 14 after my periods stopped after only starting the previous year. They said they could only help me to concieve when the time came an put me on the pill, talk about pmt for years, anyway when I was 19 I stopped taking it tried for 15 moths and was then given clomid to help me concieve which worked but I had the pregnancey from hell as I was ill all the way through it. After my little girl was born I was petrified of getting pregnant again, although I had periods for 12 months on my own without help anyway and then became regular on their own. Anyway when she was 3 we decided to try for another my husband and I have been trying for 5 years last year after unusual bleeding and late I found I was pg but was told 2 days after that I was miscarrying which lasted for 6 weeks untill the hospital had to remove 'Little Star' but now my periods have stopped and not pg any ideas?

I'm sorry to hear this, you've had a difficult time. Have you ever tried counselling? It might help you to talk everything through in confidence with a trained professional. If in UK this can be available on the NHS. Sometimes there's a waiting list but it can be worth the wait. Or contact the British Association for Counselling at Bacp.co.uk to find a private therapist.

The other thing I would suggest is to ask politely for a second opinion.

If all else fails - at least you have a husband and child, and so things could be worse.

Relaxation can help too - try buying a good relaxation CD (say by Glenn Hrrold) you'll need to listen several times before you notice much difference but it can really help. Give yourself positive affirmations too - don't give your body negative thoughts if you can help it. Our brains are literal like computers, so if you say "My body is getting better every day" and "I thank my body for all it is doing for me" it is more helpful than beating yourself up.

I know this advice might sound weird, but it can really help.

Wishing you good luck.

I completely sympathise with you. I apparently had PCOs when I first started my periods when I was 8. I was only diagnosed when I went to the beautician and she told me to get checked out, as I put on weight very quickly, grow hair at an alarming rate and do not have regular periods.

I was told that if I had been diagnosed 14years before hand, when I started putting on weight I wouldnt be size 20 as I am now. I was just told I eat too much!

Your body has been through a shock. I desperately want a baby, and have conceived once, but miscarried after a few weeks.

All I can say is keep trying, you will probably have to goon the pill again to sort out your hormone levels, and you will be taking pills until you rattle.

I feel sorry for all that trouble you have been through.
You should consult a smart Gynaecologist who will be able to sort out your problem. Also if you exercise regularly your body might start behaving the way it is supposed to,. Ask your gyne about it too.
Good Luck!
