Humpback whales have many migration routes and are found in all oceans. In Australia there are two groups that spend the summer in Antarctic waters and move north in the winter to tropical waters to give birth. One group always goes up the east coast, the other goes up the west coast. Very occasionally a male from the west will join the east coast migration and vice versa.
