Can you connect to a wireless router with a macbook pro? Or do u need a base station.?

I cant connect to networks, because my signal has no reception, even though i have a wirelss router for my windows computer.

Please check the compatibility of the Wireless router and the Wireless card in the MAC, make sure the wireless service is enabled for you wireless card...
