Will you help someone who is so into themselves and can't get out of their shell? How would you do this?

Try to keep him company, avoiding discussions about psychological problems and communicative inadequacy.

Challenge him to open up subjects that interest him (know his hobbies etc.). Go to an excursion with him, throw a small party with people he knows. Try to make him socializing. It doesn't matter if he doesn't talk that much. All this activity, watching people talking, laughing, exchanging ideas, will challenge him to participate at his own rate.

Most of all, do not push him to do something if he definitely denies it.

Find people with common interests, and spend time with them.

Remember, others may be shy too but you can't see what they are feeling.

Good luck!
