smart... beauty fades, but intelligence lasts a lifetime. I know many women will say attractive people have more doors opened to them, and yes it's true. But to live a life based on looks is really living a lie. We are who we are on the inside, whether that be wrapped in a velvet layer or in a layer of polyester. Think about it, many men want to "date" beautiful women, but always take interesting, sweet ,smart girls next door home to mom. It's kind of like a good steak... you have a round steak on a beautiful platter with a lovely garnish, or you have a porterhouse or fillet Mignon on a paper plate. Which do you take? The inferior worse cut of beef on a pretty plate or the high quality, tasty cut of beef on the paper plate? By no means am I saying all pretty women are dumb or all smart women are ugly, just saying, if you have to decide between the two, intelligence should win hands down.

Smart.
coz:
1. pretty will b exploited by the smart ones.
2. U can make urself smart, but not pretty, i.e, that is a natural characterisitic.
3. it depends upon the person 1 is meeting, if he finds her pretty, but smart pple knows how to look pretty as well.
4. Looking pretty is possible only for the couple of youthful days, but a smart person continues to survive his smartness, lifelong.
5. Prettiness is unprotected & can b decomposed, if not supported by a smart mind.

It's better to be smart. For one thing if you are smart you can figure out how to look pretty. Smart is more lasting. Pretty is temporary. Smart can make more of a contribution to society. Smart will produce healthier children and do a better job of raising them. Anna Nicole was considered pretty and it didn't get her very far. Contrast with smart Oprah.

It is always better to be a true human being and help others in need. This overtakes the smartness as well as the beauty. If one is smart as well as beautiful along with his helping nature ,I think he is the best. Now, let us come to your question ,to consider one as smart or pretty is always a relative thing. One person who is smart in your consideration may not be so in my consideration and the same is true with the prettiness. One has to consider the inner beauty for such considerations.Even then a smart person is good until he does not apply his smartness in deceiving fellow human beings and helps others in solving their problem . Prettiness any way is always short lived and does not persist for long, therefore, if one is kind hearted, helping and friendly with others along with the beauty , then only one can be considered better.
Therefore, to be a true human being along with smartness or beauty is the only measure of goodness.

being smart is better, i have come across lots of pretty girls that have nothing in their head and that really discouraged me about them. well it depends on the individual, some could go for pretty girls while others would prefer the smart ones. But a wife is supposed to be your suitable helpmate, i.e. she is supposed to be an asset, but if she is pretty and not smart then she might be a liability and not a suitable helpmate. But if you get a combination of beauty and brains then you are lucky.

Being smart is better because in the end it is going to get you more places. Being pretty is good to but it doesn't last forever on the outside only in the inside.

Beauty and inteligence are both very important but I think that being smart is more than beauty....cos intelligence stay forever but beauty goes away and the only thing that stay is a huge empty head....
So am I right or no...
But I have to know If you are part of the beauty side or inteligente side...
But I want to attach smth else...Beautynes is a mirror of the heart....that means if you aren't beauty outside than you are inside.....and you have a lot of inteligence to show....

In the immortal words of Judge Judy: "beauty fades, dumb is forever". Being smart is the way to go, believe me!! I was referred to as a Barbie doll in my 20's and now that I'm in my 40's, not so much! I'm really glad I invested time in myself to use the brains that God gave me...dunno where I would have ended up otherwise!

smart (although being pretty is a good 1 too)
cause if you're smart you can do a lot more than being pretty and of course nowadays you can be pretty with the right amount of money.
how about using your brains to make enough of money to be pretty?
but i doubt being pretty can help u get a bigger brain.

If you are smart, you can learn to be pretty. If you are not, then you can learn to be smart. But I dont think its as effective.
It doesn't matter anyway, you should learn to accept yourself and try to do the best you can in life, with what you have.
