sadly all governments are the same - soldiers are the 'bees knees' while they're serving their country but ditched when conflict is over.
they seem to be an embarrassing reminder that we were/are at war at sometime - i'd like to think that when this government go things will improve but i doubt it -
in many ways i don't approve of armed conflict myself but to me it's doubly hypocritical to cast aside our soldiers after they've performed a function that i for one don't think i'd be brave enough to fulfil!
(I hope that made sense - i'm on your side!!)

This has been the case since there were armies.
If you didn't know that when you signed up.....
What did you expect.....
All that said, I hate armies but live in a world which is dominated by the value of self interest and the pursuit of wealth over everything else.
As such if everyone is in a gang I wanna be in a big one.
So I support our military and think that you and others are treated ABYSMALLY by our GOV it is a disgrace.
The USA have a better record but it is still far from adequate.
Soldiers especially if wounded serving in the armed services are amongst those that deserve the highest respect and care especially after having served in combat even if like myself you disagree with the particular campaign.
Short answer soldier peasants have always been fodder,,,
no one cares what happens after they have bled..... Certainly not the state....

I don't know the answer to that. I think it's totally wrong. My father fought in WW2 and his medal was posted to him, POSTED !!! he went on 'special volunteer' work as a paratrooper, which was very dangerous, and that's how he was treated.. He felt sick and put it in a trunk. I only found out he had one when he died. How sad is that?
The army should make sure anyone leaving the service is looked after for the rest of their lives as a thank you for risking your life for your country. I am so sorry for you and others that are treated badly because I know it's hard for you on civi street. You're trained, trained and trained whilst with them, then dropped like a hot potato with no training to cope outside when you leave.
I can't see anything changing considering the length of time it's been going on, but let's hope someday it does.

i imagine it is going to take many years. The U.S. can ought to bypass thoroughly to her knees financially and then he will have a sparkling thanks to bypass with conserving Martial regulation after rioting because of nutrition shortages and gasoline costs and shortages. I did examine the position he change into planning on a forming a President's military at one element.. curiously, he talks about it in his speech in Co Springs on 7/2/08. Then there are the 800 internment camps that are at present empty even with the actuality that some are guarded.. perchance they're for the homeless? I pray that all and multiple with a lick of sense is stocking up on non-perishable nutrition and potable water and some water to flush with. i'm afraid we are in for some very demanding situations.

Because they're far too busy wasting money on 12 yr old slappers with 15 kids to be helping the like of you. I mean, what have you done for them apart from risking everything for their latest P.R stunt..?
Seriously though, all governments lick balls. And only for their own benefit. As far as they are concerned the only hero's are the ones who contribute to their party funds. Wankers!

Why are people being so goddam rude to this person? It's just wrong!
My heart goes out to these former military people, it is really a very sad situation and shouldn't be happening.

because you are to used to having everything done for you in the army...
now its time to stand on your own two feet...
the army will feed you, it will provide shelter, what more did you need..
out in the big world you have to find all this and more yourself.
