i have a best friend and he really used to like this 'a' but she let him down and now they seem to b really good friends but now there is another girl who is a good friend of 'a' but now for some reason this girl is ignoring 'a' and so 'a' feels really sad and depressed and so with that she has made my best friend sad and depressed too and a's mom does not allow my best friend to call 'a' so he always drags me inbetween the two of them all the time and to say im kind of fed up and he gets too emotional when it comes to her and always butts into her matters so today i told him to give her some space and let her try to make her own decisions and for once he should listen and not comment he should be there for her but give her the space she requires and listen to her and listen without judging her and listen sincerely and after i told him that he kind of was upset with me please tell me whether i did the right thing or no if not then what should i do.
please help me im dying here pleease

Let them sort it out amongst themselves - stay out of it or you will get caught in the crossfire and blamed when it all goes wrong!

Ah. I have been there before. If I were you, you would stay out of their problem because sadly, you are not in a position to interfere. Rather, you should be there for him in case he needs a crying shoulder. On your advice, I think it's a good one. He has no control over 'a' and her best friend's actions and reactions. Perhaps you should give him the same advice i gave you. Stay out of it and be ready to provide a comfortable shoulder to cry if the need arises. Don't worry. He'll realize you're right, cause you are.

Tell your friend that the lying makes you uncomfortable and you would prefer if he didn't put you in that position. No, don't do that. I'm telling you to lie. Tell him no and he needs to wait for her to call. If she wanted to, she would find a way. Someone that makes you lie is not a friend. If he gets mad at you, you have lost nothing.

You didn't tell him what he wanted to hear - so he is miffed with you. If he is such a good friend, he will come round eventually.
