the trailer showed Clare's mother calling her real father.Silar was locked up or on the run at the time so it's not him.and he only found out he had powers 6 months ago,before then he didn't do anything but fix watches.that's why he went evil,he was tired of being a nobody.
Nathan Petrelli could be a possibility,but the Ring in the trailer was thick like a class ring not his wedding ring.unless they did reverse photography.
Mr. Bennet is the closest culprit since they lead you to believe that he worked with Clare's mother years ago.
Of course there is Linderman,because he seems to be into everything.
I don't think it's anyone we have seen before on the show,but maybe some star we would recognize from a different show.

I think Nathan Petrelli is Claire's dad. We know he's not exactly the most faithful man on the planet, the arm that showed in the previews was wearing a dress shirt and expensive watch, and since he's a politician, he would be ok with an illegitimate child being raised by others as long as it didn't come back to haunt him.
I think Linderman is a good second choice for Claire's dad. I think Sylar is not too likely.

I was thinking the same thing. Syler would be the right pick to be her father. Will soon find out.

I doubt that, he's completely insane and his mission has been to kill and take powers. He would've killed claire's biological mom by now. I believe its someone we've never seen before, I just hope he has a really awesome power. I also hope because sylar has broken out and really knows how to find claire thanks to his previous encounter and known connection to her adopted dad, that he doesn't hurt the mom with the dog, she's really nice but obviously a spacey from having her mind erased so much.

i don't syler is her real dad, wasn't he trying to kill her last season. i think her adopted dad is her real father. she was probably the result of adultery.
