If you are heterosexual and you dream that you are kissing someone of the same sex, then it represents self-acceptance. You are acknowledging the feminine or masculine side.

Dream is a vision that you visualize during your sleep in subconcious state of your mind. During this stage your brain does not work actively but only your sunconcious mind. All the real life scenes and situations that you see are getting imaged in your subconcious mind and the same are regenerated in your dreams as well. But in real life your brain and mind balances all your activites. So not necessarily all the dreams should coincide your reality but few could succeed.
