You can download the free software from skype direct but you will either need a PC with a soundcard and microphone or you can buy a handset or headset which plugs into the USB port and acts like a normal phone but for us with skype. Ebay do them and so do numerous other sites, just search for skype phone or skype headset.

Howzit

Well, if you are feeling a bit broke [like me at the moment ;) ] and you cannot afford to purchase a sound card and the headset with the fancy mike and all, you can use Skype to simply text chat... you know type down the words....

It is cheaper and ideal for slow network connections. Anyway if you are loaded (feeling rich) you can purchase a good sound card (preferably from Creative) and a good head set (preferably from Logitec) and aha....

You may 'skype' away...

good luck
