Do you think it's unfair that Steven Gately has basically said that he wont be doing major lifts through out the competition, everyone else has to. I think he should go.

I don't think he should have to if it puts his partners safety at risk! Plus the judges will mark him so low he'll leave anyway

Yes I think it's very unfair, he doesn't even look good on skates, but don't you think this should have been looked into when they were making the selections for participants? It's a shame because his partner is at a very big disadvantage. After all, it is the man who has the dominant role.

Giving the public a vote can be a mixed blessing, because they can choose someone they like as opposed to someone who was extremely talented. However, without having the public, you could end up with a panel like Sharon Osborne, Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh who love to fight it out with water (can you imagine what they would do with so much ice).

It doesn't matter what you do, the most popular is often the winner as opposed to the most talented. However, isn't it amazing how they are all willing to give it their best.

Steven hasn't the strength to life Christina, even though she is tiny. As has already been mentioned, the judges will give him a lower mark for not doing the lifts, but the public keep him in.

Glad Ulrika went on Saturday though - she really was the worst of the lot.

The lifts of the other pairs look spectacular, and if Steven and Kristina can't performe them they'll keep loosing on both the judges' points and the audience's votes. So yes, I think he'll go quite soon.

I think he should go too, if he can't do what everyone else is trying to do then he shouldn't be in the competition. He's not even trying.

I agree, it is unfair. The problem with this and similar programmes is that the contestants are voted to stay in not because of their abilities but because of their fan base. The viewers voting should be axed.

I wouldn't want him to lift me, think I would end up with my butt on the ice,he looks a bit shaky. He should go,he's not that great.
