Have you considered writing a piece on Government controlled health care and how the government has not improved any program in its history and how health care is not in the bill of rights and how insurance companies are not regulated because of lobbyists and are currently the problem and how physicians who are tired of taking insurance can charge less per visit and give the kind of care that they want to and are much happier because they don't have to do redundant paperwork all day in order to break even for their time!
How about an article that addresses reducing the federal government back to its constitutional duties such as national defense and not social programs.
Maybe an editorial that points out that the enviro-nazis have no reproducible evidence that global warming has anything to do with human activity and that the polar ice-caps on Mars are shrinking as well and that has to do with the sunspot activity and the increase in recent solar flares.
There are lots of good topics about events for an editorial!
Consider one that points out how the new defense for any misconduct is to declare that you are an alcoholic and enter treatment for 30 days then go out and repeat your offenses.

How's about the way people are so rude to others. How everyone is in such a hurry. I always get someone behind me in my car, while I am doing the speed limit, or within 5 miles above it, and they ride your bumper cause' your not going fast enough to them. Not only during the day, but at night, and we have country two lane roads here, and lots of deer that jump across the roads. Not only are they a hazard to themselves, but they are dangerous to other drivers. No one seems to know what a turn signal is, and all cars have them!! Put their brakes on right before turning, and your suppose to have ESP to know that, yet if you hit them, in this state, it is automatically YOUR fault, and that is not right. There are some very careless drivers out there, with a 2 thousand pound object they are in. And there is NEVER a police officer around to see that carelessness. Also, pulling out of somewhere when your going 55 and have to slam on your brakes, when they could have waited a damn second, but everyone is in such a hurry! Kills me, like Walmart is going to run out of the item they need before they get there!!!!! Lots more "rude" examples, I am sure you have experienced some of your own in everyday life you could write about........good luck with your paper

You could research the truth about the "Palestinian people". You could write about the fact that they did not even call themselves this name until the late '70's. You could write about how they are taking artifacts out from under the Temple Mount daily in big trucks and destroying it so as to try to negate the legitimate claims to the Mount by Jews and Christians. You could be the one to write the truth.
