I think so, yes. God forbid anyone else take up the story and make another billion off it.

I'm not sure if she will kill Harry Potter off but a previous answer pointed out Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes as an example. I am rather disappointed that he did not ellaborate on why Sherlock Holmes came back to life. There was a gigantic backlash by the public upon the death of Sherlock Holmes. The people loved him and truth be told, Doyle hated him. It's why he gave Sherlock Holmes a coccaine addiction and such.
I think that J.K. Rawling won't kill Harry off because she doesn't want to write another Harry book. She wants book 7 to finish it all and if she does kill Harry off in book 7 you know fans are going to complain and demand another book.
Plus personally, I think it would be pretty crummy of her for putting Harry through all this just to kill him. Plus it would be a horrible and traumatic ending to let's face it, a series of books that she wrote for young adults.
If she lets Harry live, she can go on and write other things but if she kills him, she will never have any peace when it comes to any other writings that she chooses to do.

I believe that she will kill harry potter... Here are some ideas to that i have to share with anyone who reads this....
1. Harry is a Horcrux
2. He will die and turn into a ghost and teach at Hogwarts
3. He will make a Horcrux to live
These ideas that i have came up with my friends may or not be true but they are the closest ideas of what might happen to harry .... Sorry to say, but Jk really crewed herself up with a couple of things...

Arther Conan Doyle tried to "kill off" Sherlock Holmes in his canon called The Final Chapter....after his publishers and reading public became appalled, Doyle then found a clever way to "resurrect" his character and explain it in his next "Holmes" story written three years later....Also the writers of Star Trek cleverly brought Spock back to life in Genesis after killing him off in the previous movie...Point being...writers can write anything...if Harry Potter does get the Axe, I'm sure he can be brilliantly brought back to life if the situation warrants at some futuristic time.....it will be a curious thing to see how the writer handles this one...Huh?

It's hard to say it in a definite tone, that he WILL die. But most clues lead to it. Although personally I think JKR is a brilliant writer and usually brings about the unexpected. For example, nobody saw Dumbledore's death. And nobody saw Sirius's either. It was said someone close would die, but people were betting on Ron or someone, and nobody expected it to be sirius. It wasn't predicted. And thats what makes this series so superb.

Harry will die (sob). He is the last hoarcrux (the clue is 'something of Griffindor's'). Voldemort made him one unintentionally when he failed to kill him. Harry will have to sacrifice himself to make Voldemort to be able to be killed. Harry is the last descendant of Griffindor ( "Only a true Griffindor could have pulled that [the sword] out of the hat). After Harry's sacrifice, I believe Neville will finish Voldemort off.

It seems entirely likely that it will happen. Anyone who is a fan of HP and has not been here, this site has some very interesting ideas about the series.

I heard that rumour but I'm not sure if it's true. She (JKR) could kill him if she wanted I guess because she doesn't have to write another book. Who knows?!
