there are many ways.. inspiration, amusement..
good writing is percieved in many different ways. choose a genre for a peice and aim for a specific audience. although don't limit yourself. variety and originality will be appreciated..
don't be afraid to reveal your creations.. remember that they say that famous painters' paintings only find fame after the artist is dead.. place your mark in this world.. attempt to be greater than who you are now.

good luck!

The parameters for a good writer depend on the audience who is going to read it.

For instance, the differences between the style content writers use and the style full-time is that the content-writers mostly use first and second person; whereas a writer for a newspaper would use an objective tone (third-person reporting). The language used is also different for different media of communication.

The general yardsticks to determine whether one is a good writer are to check whether his/her article has a good flow, eye-catching content and the language. The sentence structure, grammar, ideas and the form used are some of the other factors that play an important role in determining whether one is a good writer.

However, there is no one way to find out who a good writer is.

Writers have many goals, so I will stick to my goals and Yahoo Answer forum but it could be extended to other instruments, like books and news paper forum.

1. Foremost to impart knowledge, in process I do gain knowledge from others, a writer in other forums do get some feed back as a rule and do gain some knowledge.

2. Stay active.

3. Stay sharp.

4. Plant Seeds in the mind of others and guide them towards positive thinking.

5. Stand up for truth.

6. There are many other reasons too many to be included in this forum. Hope some of you can add to this on your own.
